Art at night
The last Saturday of September, every year since 1997 the biggest art happening in Skåne takes place: Malmö Gallerinatt, an event where all Malmö galleries and art institutions are open until midnight. The event attracts over 40 000 art lovers from the region around Öresund every year. So, on the 28th, before brushing your teeth and put on your pyjamas promise to go and watch some high quality art. On your own or in a guided tour, free of charge.
Long time no see, Mando
Preparing for the release of the new album, Swedish rock band Mando Diao is doing the ”Bang Your Head 2019”- grand tour around Europe, with three stops in their homeland. October 25th it’s Malmö’s turn to salute the popular band on stage at Kulturbolaget. Mando Diao is known for their classic rock sound, inspired by icons like The Kinks, Beatles and Rolling Stones, but also for challenging themselves testing new grips. Their shows are said to be something extra!

Deep down beneath the green lawns outside the royal castle you can visit the Cisterns, a former water reservoir underground, a world reminiscent of both forgotten cathedrals and gloomy catacombs – today a unique exhibition venue . Until November 16th, artist collective SUPERFLEX invites you on a journey to a surreal future where climate change has drastically changed society, and only the flooded ruins remain. Get ready for a dystopian moment in your best rubber boots (or borrow a pair at the hall).
